Terms of use

By using the Osso Export Classifier you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

What it is

An indicative, automated triage tool. It suggests how a technology you describe may be classified under Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2021/821 and which Union general export authorisation may apply. It is not legal advice, does not create a lawyer-client relationship, and does not replace a classification by, or advice from, a qualified professional or a competent authority.

Review before use

The assistant is an AI (Claude, by Anthropic). Its answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. It is a condition of use that every answer is reviewed by a qualified professional before it is relied on, used or shared, and that you check every statement against the regulation before relying on it.

Your responsibility

You remain responsible for your export decisions and for complying with export control, sanctions and any other law that applies to you.

What you must not enter

Do not enter personal data, confidential information, or controlled technical data (technology or software within Annex I). What you type is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the answer and may be processed outside the EU, including in the United States. See the privacy notice.

Where it may not be used

The assistant is not offered in countries or regions where Anthropic does not provide its API or where sanctions do not allow it to be provided, and it may not be used from them, including through means that hide your location.

Not for minors

The tool is not intended for anyone under 18.

No warranty; liability

The tool is provided free of charge, as is and as available, without any warranty, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, the provider is not liable for any loss arising from use of the tool or reliance on its answers. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Changes

These terms may change. The version on this page when you use the tool applies.
